Here is My Consecration Story
I was introduced to Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary through a friend who is very pious with deep devotion to our Blessed Mother. Soon after, I began my 33 day journey and was in awe of the life of the 17th century Saint, Saint Louis de Montfort who spread the devotion.
Saint Louis evangelized Jesus through Mary to everyone he met. At some point Saint Louis was given specific tasks to do in his priestly duties that left him frustrated and discouraged.
So he set off to see Pope Clement XI, he walked 1000 miles to receive permission to continue his ministry. Pope Clement XI recognized Louis's real vocation and gave Saint Louis the title "Apostolic Missionary." Allowing him to evangelize and spread Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary.
Following in Saint Louis de Montfort's footsteps my friend and I brought the idea of Consecration to our parish priest and since then have lead groups including hundreds of people, helping them to fall deeper in love with our Lord through his beautiful mother.
The consecration itself is 33 days of prayer, reflection, and examination of self. It begins 33 days before a marian feast day, so the act of consecration is made on a celebratory marian day.
