Journey to Sainthood Conclusion
We made it! Daughters in Christ, we made it through this Lenten Season and I hope that you have all had the opportunity to dive deeper into your relationships with Christ and His call for all of you to become saints. I pray that you were able to see the call He has for you interiorly, in your family, and in your workplace/everyday lives. I used to think that become a saint was the hardest thing in the entire world. I thought that I would have to do these humongous acts of love, climb the highest mountain, and shout the Lord’s name from every hilltop and window that I could find, but this is not the case. To be a saint means to love the Lord above all else and to do His will in every moment of our lives. The more I think about this, the more I become excited because it is something that is so attainable for us. Think about it, the Lord wants us to be saints, so He is going to give us the strength and opportunity to do just that!
Today as you read this I am sure your heart is heavy with reflection on the Lord’s suffering and death. Every Good Friday I am overcome with sadness at the realization of how much the Lord suffered for our sins and this year I am not going to let that realization bring me down. This year I am going to pick up my cross and walk with the Lord as He walks with His. That cross may be an illness, a death in the family, the loss of a job, whatever it is I am calling you to pick it up and walk! Please do not let the Lord walk alone this Good Friday. Console the bleeding heart of Jesus and He will console you. Let Him know that you are willing to walk with Him today and every day. Beloved Daughters in Christ, now is your chance to walk with Jesus. Now is your chance and your call to become saints.
“After this, aware that everything was now finished, in order that the Scripture might be fulfilled, Jesus said, "I thirst." There was a vessel filled with common wine. So they put a sponge soaked in wine on a sprig of hyssop and put it up to his mouth. When Jesus had taken the wine, he said, "It is finished." And bowing his head, he handed over the spirit.”
Jesus thirsts for YOU
Lord Let Me Walk With You Lord let me walk with You Although my steps are small Stay beside, hold my hand And never let me fall. Amen.
